Make new shoes or repair your own shoes and save money by replacing worn heels and heel blocks. PVC heel block with leather top piece heel. Used by shoemakers and DIY enthusiasts to make, repair and mend shoes.

Instructions for fitting new block heels

• Ensure shoes are clean. Remove any dirt.
• Rough the bottom of the heel and the shoe part where the heel fits with coarse sandpaper.
• Clean both parts with a damp cloth.
• Place the heel on the shoe and draw around it.
• Using a sharp tool, trim to size around the line drawn.
• Apply adhesive to the bottom of the heel and the sole part of the shoe.
• Let the glue dry until it becomes tacky.
• Carefully place the glued heel onto the line drawn.
• Press firmly with your fingers and hand.
• Remove the insole inside the shoe.
• Drive 5 buttress nails inside the shoe where the heel is attached, 2cm away from the upper.
• Repeat for the other shoe.
• Finish the shoe as required.
