Handmade brass welt mill used for thinning wet leather welts to a required thickness ranging from 3 to 5mm. Used by shoemakers, cobblers, leathercraft enthusiasts, and DIY shoe repair.

How to use the welt mill
- Secure the welt mill on your left knee using the leather stirrup strap, held in place with your left foot.
- Select the brass step that corresponds to the welt thickness required.
- Place the 20mm leather welt into the brass channel, grain side facing down.
- Rest a sharp broad blade on the selected inclined brass step.
- Gradually pull the leather welt through to create an even, uniform thickness.
- Repeat across all nine positions to achieve thicknesses from 3mm to 5mm.
