Save money and repair your own shoe heels by replacing worn heel blocks. Leather quarter steel heel top piece mounted on a PVC heel block, used by shoemakers and cobblers to make and repair shoes.
- Made in England. Vintage stock from 1970s.
- Men heel blocks with 1/4 steel leather heels.
- Heel block sizes: 2 3/4 inch and 3 1/4 inch, 3/4 inches high.
- 1/4 steel leather top piece mounted on a black plastic block.
- Sold as a pair.

Instructions for fitting new block heels
- Ensure shoes are clean. Remove any dirt.
- Rough the bottom of the heel and the shoe part where the heel fits with coarse sandpaper.
- Clean both parts with a damp cloth.
- Place the heel on the shoe and draw around it.
- Using a sharp tool, trim to size around the line drawn.
- Apply adhesive to the bottom of the heel and the sole part of the shoe.
- Let the glue dry until it becomes tacky.
- Carefully place the glued heel onto the line drawn.
- Press firmly with your fingers and hand.
- Remove the insole inside the shoe.
- Drive 5 buttress nails inside the shoe where the heel is attached, 2cm away from the upper.
- Repeat for the other shoe.
- Finish the shoe as required.
